Ate List 食榜

Ate List keeps your own restaurant rankings — your best eight of anything — and shows you your friends'. A score of 8 or more means one thing: you'd send a friend there.

Reporting something

Every restaurant row written by someone else can be reported. Swipe the row, or open the place and use Report. Tell us what is wrong; reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. Reporting someone also blocks them straight away, so you don't have to wait to stop seeing their content.

Blocking someone

Friends → swipe their name → Block. Blocking works both ways at once: they disappear from your app, you disappear from theirs, and any follow between you is removed in both directions. You can unblock from the same screen.

Deleting your account

Me → Settings → Delete account. It removes your profile, every ranking, every photo, your saved places, your follows and any share links you made. It is immediate, permanent, and needs no email to us.

Common questions

Why is my score not what I expected? The score comes from what you said about the meal — the taste rating, plus the good and bad points you tapped. Position doesn't set the score; the score sets the position. To move something up, change what you said about it: open it and add a good point.

Why do two places have the same score? Because you said the same thing about both. When scores tie, the app orders them by where each sits in its own list, then by how much you've eaten in that category — your best of twelve ramen leads your best of two izakaya. It won't ask you to compare a bowl of ramen against a slice of cake, because that question has no honest answer.

Restaurant names are in the wrong language. Names come from Apple Maps, which answers in the language the app is running in. Change it under Me → Settings → Language, then reopen the app so map search picks it up too.

Who can see my lists? Only you and the people you follow each other with — unless you make a share link yourself, which publishes one list of eight and nothing else. See the privacy policy.

I can't sign in. Sign in with Apple has two steps: Apple approves you, then the app exchanges that with its server. If you see a network error after approving, the second step couldn't get through — try another network. Some wifi, some VPNs and some regions block it.
